Bucket Fillers

We read a book in class called "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" The idea is that everyone has an invisible bucket that represents how we feel about ourselves, and our job is to say and do kind things to others, in order to fill their bucket. On the reverse side, by doing unkind things, we dip into buckets. My students have a difficult time being kind to each other, and this lesson came at a perfect time.

At the end of the lesson, I quickly had them write down three things that they could do to fill a person's bucket, and as I was grading the papers this afternoon, I found this:

I love my students, and appreciate their efforts to fill my bucket too! :)
