Snowflakes

The weather has been quite cold recently, and we've had a lot of snow this past week. I'm told that it's unusual to have this much snow, and I'm enjoying it before it goes away! One of my favorite things about snow is going to school when it's snowing. Our kids love snow just as much as I do, and recess is so much more fun with all that white stuff! We were so lucky the other day, because it snowed gigantic flakes all day, and we could actually SEE the intricate snowflake patterns that we talked about in science a few weeks ago. It was so difficult to get them to come back in for class, when they kept screaming, "Ms. Collins, look at this one!" "It's huge! Look at the patterns!" I didn't want to come inside either. :) It was such a beautiful reminder of how detailed God's creation is, and how much joy he must take in making each delicate snowflake.

"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" Psalm 8:3-4

Soccer in the snow.
Of course the snowflakes taste good too!
I love this picture of the snowflakes in her hair.

"Ms. Collins, snowflake in German is Schneeflocke!"
