We are learning about Moses and the
plagues in Egypt during Bible class, and today we had a very fun conversation
that I thought I'd share with you. We were learning about Passover, and my
students were asking a lot of good but difficult questions. I had to tell them
that sometimes the Bible doesn't always give us the exact answers to our
questions, but we can trust the Bible to tell us the truth because God always
tells the truth and we weren't there when the story happened.
One of my students then raised his hand
and said, "Or we can type it into Google. I always type everything into
Google and get the right answer. God made people, and people made Google, so we
can trust it to be true!" I had to stifle a laugh and explain that
although God did make people, people are the ones making pages on the Internet
and that people make mistakes and don't always tell the truth, even if they
don't mean to. I told him that I choose to always trust God and the Bible over
Google.
Let's all choose to trust God over Google!
